Playing with Bluetooth on Mobile

For Always On, Always Connected this week, we had to play with a TI Sensortag. Unfortunately, all the ones in the shop weren’t working, so I decided to play with the RFDuino that I’m using for Homemade Hardware. The RFDuino chip uses a RFD22301 Bluetooth chip to send/receive data, and it has built-in phone apps that you can use to control things with the chip.

I’m trying to configure the RFDuino to my laptop, and I’m learning a lot about what UUIDs are and what not. I anticipate that I will get very familiar with Bluetooth when I’m done with this.

Here’s a video of me turning on an LED with my RFDuino and my mobile phone.
